Lifestyle standard survey: results

Sofia City ranked fourth in a lifestyle standard survey organized by one of the leading radios in Bulgaria, Darik Radio, with the help of the “24 Hours” daily tabloid. The survey aimed to evaluate the standard and quality of life in Bulgaria and was held in October and November 2007. The research, which is headed by the city of Varna, was organized according to forty criteria, to name just a few – green areas and children playgrounds, infrastructure condition and access to wireless internet, recreational opportunities and availability of pleasant hotels and serviced apartments, parking, airport access, etc.
Sofia’s closest ski centre opened the new season

The tourists and guests of Sofia City, as well as all locals are welcome to try the 15 km long Vitosha ski runs, the lighted night piste and the available equipment. The ski season was opened on Friday, 7th December, with all canons for artificial snow installed and operating. For the convenience of the skiers and snowboarders, this season all ski lifts on Vitosha can be used with one lift pass only.
It is good to know that the new owners of Vitosha ski zone have completely renovated and modernized the restaurant based on the fifth station of the cabin lift. 1300 pairs of ski equipment available for rent are also provided.

Fine art exhibition in the Greencat Gallery

The Greencat Gallery located on No 6 Varbitsa Str. in Sofia will host a fine art exhibition presenting works of art of artists such as Jean Cocteau, Jurgen Adirs, Juan Miro, Spartak Yordanov, Ivaylo Savov, etc. The exhibition will be open till 27th January, every day except Monday, from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
