Aksakov Apartent comments

My hubby and I stayed in Aksakov Apartment on a Friday and Saturday, the main reason was that it is in the centre of the city, it is quite spacious and it is at the price of a hotel room! The apartment is located only 2 min walk from the main sights and many nice restaurants. When we arrived we had no bags as they got lost by the airline and were due with the next flight. The boy who accommodated us offered to go and take them for us. I would highly recommend the Aksakov apartment. Nice place in deed! Greenford family

Sofia centre to be closed for vehicles

Posted by writer on Jan 20, 2008

Sofia centre may be closed when the underground is finally extended to the district of Mladost, thus making the central streets pedestrian, with limited number of cars which will enter upon a fee. According to information by Sofia Echo, the area that would be covered will be set between the boulevards ‘Maria Louisa’, ‘Hristo Botev’, ‘Dondukov’ and ‘Patriarh Evtimii’.
When the second line of the underground starts functioning, the tourists, the business people visiting Sofia and the locals will have an alternative to reach the southern eastern parts of the capital and come back to the centre where their rented apartments or homes are.
The plans are almost every metro station to have an underground parking. These measures will free the centre of the city from the bad emulsions and the poisoning gases in the air, reducing significantly the quantities of carbon dioxide and fine dust.
